 SPOTIFY VS YOUTUBE MUSIC REVIEW

In this review we are going to be comparing the differences between YouTube Music and Spotify. So what are the differences? Both Spotify and YouTube Music offer a premium subscription plan,it is not necessary to be honest but, both services offer a decent tiers that help you to access their services for free.Apart from that, there are also limitations on functionality. For example, you can’t select individual song and must choose songs from select playlist instead.Next,on Spotify you can’t skip more than six times if you are on mobile and you you can’t download music for offline listening.Neither of these limitations exist in YouTube Music. As a Spotify user I can agree that not subscribing to the premium version is quite annoying with the bunch of ads.Next, the free version of YouTube Music also has some annoying limitations. For example,if you are on mobile you can’t leave the app and listen to the music simultaneously.Perhaps, when you turn off your phone screen, the music will be pause. This is really annoying to be honest when you are using it on a smartphone.

As a YouTube Music user I will explain a bit more details about YouTube Music features and compare it with Spotify. What YouTube Music offer to you? Firstly, YouTube Music also includes videos. As might be expected from the largest video site in the world, YouTube Music place a greater emphasis on music videos than its rivals but it is also built to serve as pure audio service at the user’s discretion. This entails that in addition the usual selection of songs, album, playlist, and artist radio stations. You can also access YouTube’s library of remixes, live performances, cover song and music video. New desktop and mobile applications have also been created with music playback in mind. Not being bias but Spotify did not have this feature, you cannot watch music video while listening to song on Spotify. Secondly, YouTube Music might be the best personal DJ ever. The designers of YouTube Music Premium appear to be the most interested in getting new music into your ears, and more specifically a new music you will like. In addition to offering hundreds of themed playlists, the app’s personalized home screen will suggest music depending on your location or current activities as well as what you have already listened to. As an illustration, YouTube Music may suggest some music to listen to while working out at the gym. Being a member on the widely used search engine in the world aids in discovery as well if you are ensure of the title of your earwors official song, you may search by the song lyrics or description. While on Spotify you can only listen to the song that only available there. I will say that YouTube Music has more variety of song than Spotify . Lastly, about the price for the premium subscription, you may access of the YouTube Music premium features start from RM14.90 per month for individually and RM22.90 for a family subscription. A YouTube Music Premium subscribers will benefits from ad-free listening, offline playback download, and background listening which means you won’t need to have the app open to listen, as you may do right now. I am not very sure about Spotify Premium price but they did offer a same benefits as YouTube Music Premium.I had been using YouTube Music for almost 3 years now and all I can say was it worth every penny I pay monthly.
